We hope you find your visit to the Malta Geographical Society web site both helpful and informative. The society organizes a series of illustrated talks and social events, as well as two monthly walks on Saturday afternoons to different parts of the Maltese islands from October to May. It also organizes one mid-week walk once a month, on a Wednesday afternoon, as well as two walking excursions yearly to Gozo and Comino. In all, the society has some sixteen walks per year to all regions of the island.
The society is not a "pressure group" but is instituted for the promotion and diffusion of geographical knowledge, with special reference to the Maltese Islands and the Mediterranean area. The membership totals over 360 active members and is one of the largest NGO's on the Maltese islands.
A newsletter is distributed monthly with information for the current months walk and events, news and lectures in the future. If you would like to join the society, or would like further information on membership or if you have any comments and suggestions please contact us.
On the news page you will be kept informed of cancelled, or last minute changes to walks and all up to date news from the society.
If you would like to make an application to join the Society please go to the membership form and complete and send it to the address at the top of the form.
